thedocyard acquires Athena Board

acquisition positions thedocyard as a leader in corporate governance and information management solutions

thedocyard is pleased to announce the expansion of its end-to-end deal management platform with the acquisition of Lockbox Technologies and its board management platform, Athena Board.

Under the terms of the acquisition, thedocyard will acquire 100% of LockBox Technologies by issuing A$2 million in new TDY shares to LockBox’s owners, as well as options to secure 15,000,000 TDY shares based on the 10-day VWAP at the date of sale execution.

Founded by Steven Engel, Lockbox Technologies specializes in secure, end-to-end encrypted storage technology as part of a superior customer experience.

The acquisition involves two key products: LockBox storage – a B2B secured document and storage platform, and Athena Board - a document creation and consumption solution for corporate board and company management.

thedocyard’s CEO, Stuart Clout, said, “We are very excited to see the LockBox team and their leading board governance solution join thedocyard’s stable of technologies which make corporate events, such as transaction and board meetings safer, easier and more efficient.

“There is a clear adjacency in the solution set and customer base and this acquisition is highly consistent with our growth strategies and global view of the greater problem set.”

thedocyard is already paving the way in deal technology, with its end to end and highly secure deal management platform. Alongside virtual data rooms and complete audit trails, the integration of LockBox’s platforms secures an entry point for thedocyard into the board portal management software (BPMS) and enterprise file sync and sharing (EFSS) market.

The acquisition provides an exciting opportunity to unite both platforms. It positions thedocyard as a global provider of technology business management software solutions encapsulating information governance and management.
